King of the hill at Highland Fair Race
On Wednesday July 26th, Daryn and crew rolled into the Highland Speedway for one of his favorite nights, The Madison County Fair race. 19 cars signed in with Daryn setting quick time at 13.154, followed by Kye Blight 13.363. With the unique format of the fair race Daryn faced Kye Blight for the pole of the feature, in the King of the hill race. Kye took the early lead on lap one going down the back stretch but made a slight bobble on the cushion allowing Daryn to motor around him on the bottom and would win the 2 lap dash.
Daryn started on the pole and took the lead in turns 1 and 2. The caution flag fell just 9 laps in. On the restart Daryn jumped to the lead and was not challenged the rest of the race.
Daryn and crew have struggled to get a handle on the new but over the past several weeks have made great strides in the right direction.
